Staying in a hotel in Junction. We took some photos at Llano River State Park Last night

Was thinking about heading to the middle of nowhere towards Rocksprings tonight and finding a spot off the public road

But if there's any Ags who have a spot in the area that would be good for this and would allow me access I would love to buy you a beer or something! Promise we would leave no trace

Not close to you now, but the parents of a former student of mine have rental cabins 1/2 way between Leakey and Vanderpool where the West Sabinal crosses 337. They did have an amateur observatory set up on the top of the hill that' a professor from UTSaA would bring his astronomy students out to. Might give them a call and see if that's possible for any future endeavors.

Check your PM. Sorry for just seeing this. I have multiple places close to Junction you are welcome to.

If I still had my ranch northeast of Junction I would welcome you. Page Junction71 here on the OB and see if he knows. The man I sold my ranch to is a really good guy and would accommodate you in a heartbeat if he is there.
I'll reach out to him for you if you like.
It is located east of Junction and west of Harper.

Curious to what specifically you're photographing right now. I'm too close to Eagle Ford to get many good pics. Tried to get Jupiter but it was overcast that night.

There is a good Roadside Rest pull-off about half way or little less as you go toward Rocksprings from Junction. It's out past Telegraph on a high bluff over looking headwater area of South Llano River. It's out past Telegraph and could be a good viewing area however there are ranch buildings below that might have lights.
