Found it last night, called the business this morning (M&D Distributors), they gave me the address and phone number used for the order (used my name). Business is B's Automotive Inspections at 10314 Hirsch Rd. Houston, Tx 77016. I called the number, asked if the CP4 conversion kit for the 2011 Cummins was delivered yet. They hung up.

What's next? I've already disputed the charge on my card and gotten a replacement sent. I believe HPD or the Constables would not care less. Should I call and report it to them anyway, tear their fence down, propane cannon? What's the best course of action here? I'd like to get a name to look up the trash. 2 numbers I have are:

Better business bureau report and wouldn't hurt to let the constable know.

Not worth the time and effort you'd spend for most likely no action in the end.

If you don't report it then it doesn't make it into data indicating the extent of the problem.

The worst punishment possible is making them drive a truck with a CP4.

Absolutely report it to the police, if that address is in the city limits, not the constable's office. It may not help you but it builds a record on these fraudsters.

Tear down their fence.

I'd at least report it so there's record of it. Doubt they give a crap about reviews, but I'd at least put their phone number and email (if known) as being interested on a house on Zillow, Redfin, etc.

I'd also try to contact the place the parts are coming from and let them know the charge is fraudulent.

We had a similar instance about 10 years ago. Contacted the State Attorney General office. They have a specific division for that. They were all over it and even followed back up with me on the incident.

Dispute the charge. File a police report, give them all of the info. Close the card and get with fraud dept for the card company so they can open all the proper credit checks and such. It's a federal thing. You'll be notified of cases pending with the criminals once the investigation finishes.

I had this same thing happen several years ago. Some yoot bought three iPhones in Louisiana with my card. I did all the above and he went to prison for a while and was only recently released along with a lot of fines. They opened and investigation and it turned out he had done it several times so it was bad juju for that guy. So, they take fraud pretty seriously.

I was in this part of Houston a couple of months ago photographing comps. Sketchy doesn't do it justice.
