Howdy! My name is Josh Neely. I'm graduating from Texas A&M in May 2026 and am looking to start my career in a sales role in Austin, Texas.

I'm highly competitive, coachable, and genuinely enjoy building relationships and working with others in performance-driven environments. I'm especially interested in opportunities in tech sales and B2B sales.

To be honest, I'm still figuring out the best path to take and would really value any advice. I'd love to connect with any Aggies in Austin or anyone willing to point me in the right direction.

It's been my experience that most people start in inside sales, then work themselves up to outside sales. (I'm assuming when you say "sales" you mean outside sales.)

If software sales is of interest, I'd recommend looking at SDR roles as well. A successful SDR will have lots of opportunities to either promote into AE or move to an AE role elsewhere.
