After four years of pretending Biden was just fine, the MSM now seems to be laser focused on Trump's health,

On Tuesday, just three weeks shy of his 80th birthday, Trump will travel to Walter Reed Medical Center for a physical as he confronts questions about his age and fitness similar to those he once turned against his predecessor.

The visit comes amid a steady drumbeat of public concern about Trump's physical condition. He has repeatedly been photographed with deep bruising on his hands, which he has taken to covering with makeup at public events. His lower legs have visibly swollen.

Video footage has appeared to show him nodding off during public appearances an allegation the White House denies. He has frequently been seen moving slowly and cautiously on stairs, steadying himself to avoid tripping, as Biden did on at least one occasion. And some critics have questioned his mental acuity, given his erratic governing style.

I guess all their reporters making these astute observations were - where? - from 2020 to 2024? In fact, they were covering for Biden and accepting Biden administration claims he was just fine even though a three year old could see otherwise.

Oh - and they think he's fat, to boot:

Trump's eating habits have been a recurring point of discussion among members of his administration. On "The Katie Miller Podcast" in January, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said the president is in "incredible" health but criticized his diet, saying it consists of "really bad food," frequently including McDonald's, candy and Diet Coke. "I don't know how he's alive, but he is," Kennedy said. At an awards gala earlier this month, White House chief of staff Susie Wiles said Trump eats McDonald's "every single day."

They go after his health every few months because they have nothing else.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

After four years of ignoring the near invalid in the White House, this all rings incredibly hollow.

Grasping for straws.

It's annoying how homogenous news is across multiple platforms...

I've honestly tuned out of most of it, aside from any eye catching headlines that could have implications that might impact me.

I don't pretend to know how healthy he is physically, but his "erratic" governing style has been pretty consistent across close to six years in office. It's a feature, not a bug.

Don't forget how the Watchdog Press tried to cover up Hillary having to be tossed into that van like a sack of turnips during that 9/11 ceremony.

your eyes broken? the guy is overweight, undeniably.

Biden was also a senile shell incapable of much anything. both things can be true

Trump is fat, but he's 30-40 pounds fat, not 100.

I'm more worried about the fact that he's 80. Would be nice to get a 40-60 year old in the white house, you know like virtually every major company in existence.

The point is not Trump. The point is the double standard employed by the press.

Imagine the treatment from the press should anyone point out Hillary's weight.

Such a thing is outside of their permission structure.

Fox News was doing the exact same thing 4 years ago while MS was pretending Biden was as sharp as ever - the hypocrisy runs both ways.

Biden's decline was way worse at the end, but Trump is far from a case study for good health and has a couple years left to go.

How about we stop nominating / voting for someone who is turning 80 during their presidency?

The press makes it a living hell for viable Republican candidates. Those who have lived a full life and no future to lose by going through their gauntlet are often the only ones willing to give it a serious shot.
