Can we agree the $$$ doesn't ensure we can hurt anyone that messes with us to a point that we "win" a war?

With asymmetrical warfare more $$$ doesn't equal success.

What war are you talking about?

The one where we sunk a navy, destroyed an Air Force, sent the top 3 levels of leadership to visit allah, doubled our oil exports, saw Lebanon dismantle a proxy force, will soon see the eventual turnover of enriched uranium, and showed China how vulnerable they are to a few strategic choke points?

Never has there been more pearl clutching over such a decisive campaign.

Trump could "win" in your context, but there would be countless collateral loves lost (women and children) which Trump does not want. He will have to turn up the heat to get the "war" finished, but there's zero percent chance we "lost another war" as you inferred.
