"For every dollar California spends on traditional enrollees (i.e., sick and disabled), it receives another dollar from the feds. For healthy adults covered by the ObamaCare expansion, [CA] gets $9."

"California makes up about 12% of the U.S. population but accounts for nearly half of new social assistance and healthcare establishments in the U.S. over the last decade..."

"California...subsidize activities "that support an eligible member's inclusion in the community," including sports club fees, gym memberships, bicycles, scooters, music and art lessons."

The state has even used Medicaid funds to repay student loans for healthcare workersas much as $120,000 for "wellness coaches" and "peer support specialists"under the guise of recruiting to the field.

The issues here:

1) CA is using Medicare, particularly the ObamaCare expansion, to siphon dollars from the other 49 states into their state economy.

2) CA economy directly benefits from Medicare waste and the current rampant fraud.

3) If every state aggressively enrolled healthy adults into Medicaid as CA does, AI estimates that additional federal spending would require ~$130B per year.

One more case of our elected republican politicians failing to do their jobs and we take it in the shorts. The rhinos must go. ETA - and obamacare must go.

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

Also, those federal dollars in CA are pooled and distributed at the state level; with the state taking a HUGE cut via their bed tax on hospitals. These funds are used for all kinds of non-healthcare programs the state pays for.

This is the mechanism CA is using to have other states pay for their communism

This is how the left governs. It's why California and the federal government are neck deep in corruption. They love other people's money.

The Democratic way :When you spend more than you tax then you are always looking for ways to cheat other people out of their money.

CA, Chicago and NYC are great examples of that Democratic principle.

We all should do it and break it.

How does every state game the system until it breaks?

Well I won't complain about your playing the T-card. Makes me smile, in fact. Thanks !!!

One related usage that bothers me -- our inconsistency in abbreviations.

A whole lot of us use Dems. But Republicans (your capital R, sir/ma'am) is almost never abbreviated as Reps. Is it because of representatives?

I disagree with the left almost all of the time, but I don't want them to think I disrespect them.

People are entitled to their opinions and those liberals that engage in discussion add value to F16, as well as show a certain amount of resiliency.
