I love watching immigration lawyers caught between the authorities and the immigrants playing both sides. She was part of the scam but now she's acting high and mighty now so that ICE sees her reply and thinks she's golden.

She says one or two sketchy companies, but actually it is all the top 25 are sketchy companies including Amazon, Meta, Google Microsoft, they all have abused the system. I hope deportations begin (which I think it will) but also the top management who approved these crimes are also punished with jail time.

The attorney is actually correct, and is being factual.
The OP suggested that there was OPT fraud, suggesting the employee was working for a company that doesn't actually exist. Or the employee received a falsified OPT for a known company (less likely but possible)

Last time I checked, the FAANG companies do exist. So the government release doesn't make sense. Needs clarification.

Yes, she absolutely is factual.
But I think she is virtue signaling here, as the noose tightens around the fraudsters.
Everyone went along with it when the going was good and money flowed in.

I am glad ICE is cracking down on fraudulent visa scams. The corporations claiming they can't find enough Americans with specialized skills are looking to decrease labor costs by gaming the H-1B visa system. The Visa Scam betrays Americans through endless cycles of going back and forth between visas until the foreign workers get an H1-B visa and explains why the corporations, governmental entities, and the universities are all in the scam.

I am pretty certain our own alma mater is doing the same as well. Everyone is in on the racket. Everyone makes money at the cost of the community and no one gives a damn.
