I figured Trump getting a Nobel would be big news around here.

Do we think he gets another after freeing Greenland and reducing drug prices by 300, 400, or even 500%?

I dunno. I'd say it is kinda a farce that he got one the way he did, but then I would say if someone like Obama can get one as well, then maybe this whole noble peace things is a farce to begin with anyways.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he gets an Oscar and Grammy for.

He wasn't awarded one.

Someone physically giving him one doesn't count.

This is a really poor pot stirring thread.

The fact that he accepted it is hilariously pathetic

To answer the OP, that's why it hasnt been discussed. Not a appropriate topic for the fan club here.

No one cares because it's been a meaningless award for decades

If Jerry Rice gave me one of his rings does that mean I won the Super Bowl?

It's about as impressive as his having accepted the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament trophy that Daniel LaRusso presented him with on FB.

I'm not sure whether it's real.

Obama got it for being black, that's how low the bar has gotten with this award

Obama the racist Marxist, starter of many wars, got one. It became meaningless at that point.

To me it would seem to count more that the awardee thinks someone was more deserving and decided as a gesture to give it to him (he tried to refuse, she insisted) and I assume its a "copy" put into a fancy frame with a flattering certificate.

Who is more able to determine a true arbiter of peace? The Norwegians voting on a coin named after the Swedish guy who invited dynamite (basis for which we measure the impact of nuclear weapons - ironic)? The Swedish foundation overseeing dynamite rich mans lasting fortune?

Or is the opposition leader in exile the one who recognizes a true peacemaker?

People laughing this gesture off as a petty stroke of Trump's ego sound pretty and frankly jealous (not directed at you or anyone in particular).

Just for once, you don't have to do a full court press for Trump.

That said, this is a total troll thread, especially since the OP hasn't returned, but a bunch of libs crawled out to pile on.

Full court press is what Bucky ball is all about. When the enemy is trying to beat you at all costs, you being the fight to them.

fun fact, the last person to accept a nobel prize given by the original recipient (not counting donations) was joseph goebbels

If Obama begged and begged and begged for one he didn't deserve and then enthusiastically accepted a sham "award" from the actual recipient, this board would (rightfully) be apoplectic and lose its collective sh/t. Trump does it and it'll somehow be construed as "owning the libs" or "well, he did deserve it because he's my God Emperor." This was unspeakably cringeworthy, but not surprised to see ftc defending the sh/t out of someone who wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.
