There was a story already talking about hospitals doing things via tele services. So, Zoom and others.

As for what services can be done by that, someone else who saw the story might be able to say, I just saw the headline while changing channels.

Nurses strike all the time in places like New York and California. They have to pre-announce their strikes well in advance to allow the hospitals to contract with temporary agencies to fill the gaps. A whole lot of nurses from Texas, Florida, elsewhere in the US are about to be paid a ton of money to fill in while the spoiled brats hold their signs on the street.

They almost always market their strikes as being about patient safety but in reality it's about getting contracts to pay them more to do less work.

There's a story right now about a nationwide shortage of nurses that showed a nurse doing an exam by video conference.

So, I'm sure there being a shortage already will put this issue front and center.

As to why there's a shortage nationwide is also concerning, but that's for another thread.

It will be the staffing agencies working over-over-time filling these temp nurse positions. Yes, nurses filling these positions will make high dollar, but the staffing agencies trying to find people to fill these spots will also make bank while working their butts off.

So, like with Covid when it first hit New York. Nurses who went to those hospitals from other states were banking more than the doctors they were assisting many times.

Why are they spoiled brats?

They are operating within the system in which the rules have been laid out for them.

Nurses work incredibly hard. Spoiled brat is not what I would call them and I have no association with one in my personal life outside of them dealing with relatives etc..

Whatever hell New York City is about to experience is their own making. I have no sympathy. Sorry for the good people up there that are getting screwed.

I have a feeling the Mamdani experiment is not going to last very long. I would have no problem seeing that little **** sent packing denaturalized and embarrassed. At the very least.

One big drawback to working in NY, even on a lucrative per hour rate or salaried position, is the ridiculous taxes and...associated with that... the cost of proper/good tax prep when that time comes.

Something to weigh into the entire situation as a traveling nurse.

I'm "Talking to" a nurse right now, she has told me that...in this case..."not all money is good money". Seems like a big cluster**** , even taking Mamdani's ruhtarded ass out of the mix.

I'm surprised these nurses unions haven't figured out to coordinate a strike with another nurses union somewhere else so they can all just remote to each others sites and get extra money from time to time.

Maybe they have.
