Have you tried to decode the English side of the writing on the side of the truck in your journey to learn whether or not it was intentional or an accident?

I seriously doubt anyone with a sign specifically referencing the protest that drives a several ton truck through it has ever been considered an accident...but interesting that was the more difficult part to deduce for these mensa members, and somehow the always elusive motive with these kinds of cases is apparent after just a few minutes of its occurrence.

The only thing rarer than that is someone who supports a protest or cause attempting a mass-murder at them.

And the protesters just had to move out of the way of the mostly peaceful truck.

If you look at the video that you posted, you can see there is quite a bit of commotion around the vehicle and from the angle of the camera you can see that commotion cause the streets to clear out, which is a blessing. I hope this reporting is true.

This could have been much much worse. If there was no hesitation initially, this is a much worse mass casualty event.

Why is there a protest about the Iran regime in Las Angeles?
Why did this guy drive through people?
Why were people on the effing street?
If no one was hurt...WTH do I care about this?

There are a lot of Iranians in LA. They are the pro-Shah people driven out in 1979. I've heard that there are a bunch of them in Beverly Hills. They were out protesting against the Islamists and for a return of the Shah. The truck had anti-Shah signs on it as he drove through the crowd. The truck driver was therefore the bad guy in this case.

Looks like a bunch of people w nothing better to do than go protest … U-Haul guy wasn't too smart, why drive your vehicle with signs opposing the protest on it into a crowd… probably won't end well

It looks like somebody was driving U-Haul near/on a road where the protest is happening with signs that were anti-regime change. The pro-regime change crowd surrounded the truck and started vandalizing it, so the driver stepped on it to try and get away. From all of the videos I've seen, that's what appears to have happened.

The fact that nobody was killed speaks volumes. That truck could have killed plenty of people if that was the driver's goal.

Took me reading a few posts to realize this was a protest about Iran. I just instantly assumed it was something ICE-related.

Also, would the writing on the side of the truck be Persian and not Arabic?
