Most people not only fail to take responsibility for the consequence of the choices in their individual lives, but deceive themselves that someone or something else is to blame.

At the city/state level they are incapable of fathoming how policies they believe in and voted for effect their day to day living.

And if they would look outward for explanations for their individual failures how much more so when their city or state collapses under failed policies?

Mamdani was looking to block the sale because it is part of a bankruptcy. Pretty sure he wants the city to have a shot at the properties instead and was suing on the basis of the city being a creditor because the company in bankruptcy owes fines. The 14th amendment doesn't really apply here.

Were you paying attention to his campaign promises? It was to take private property ( not his own) and make it community/ state property. I'm personally glad we can shut his smiling Socialist face down.

Every time they show his smirking face on TV I fantasize about how good it would feel to punch it right through the back of his skull. I'm guessing Trump is going to let this guy fail and let New Yorkers suffer the consequences as a lesson. That, however, assumes the voters of New York are capable of learning from such lessons. I'm not sure if the majority in New York voters are any smarter than sub-Saharan Africans.
