They realized that the anti-Israel stances of the left were hurting them since so many were spouting antisemitic remarks. So they started amplifying right wing anti-Israel and anti-Jew posts and videos online so they could denounce it.

They're trying to easily say they are anti Hamas without backing off support of "Palestine." They know people are starting to confuse their previous statements about Palestine as pro terrorist.
