"Bp. Barron cautioned that turning 'synodality' into an ongoing state of the Church risks endless 'suspense' and undermines her essential mission of worship, evangelization, and service"

"Synods are good and useful tools for the determination of practical pastoral strategies, but they oughtn't to be forums for debate regarding doctrine," he stated.

"When settled teaching becomes a subject for synodal determination, the Church devolves into relativism and self-doubt as is clearly evident in the misconceived 'Synodal Way' in Germany."

I thought the Roman See was judged by no one? How is there a "good fight"?

Is the Roman See in Germany now?

Is a warning the same thing as passing a formal judgement?

Or has it just been too long since you've had a chance to hate on the Catholic Church like a nice OrthoProt?

Dude you need to check your senses. I want your honest opinion Pablo. What do you think about all of the worldwide abuse cases against Catholic priests? What do you think of those fruits? Why so many around the world?

Your google machine will show you plenty of cases of sex abuse in the EO church in Europe, Russia and America. If your response is "well that's not global", it's because, for all intents and purposes, the EO is not global. While present in most countries, that presence is often single digit parishes.

If the response is "we didn't have as many as the Catholics!", then maybe you could look at the fact that the EO churches/populations are a fraction of the Catholic churches/populations.

This take from Bishop Barron is just expanding on the warning from Rome 2 years ago.

Yes, "fight" was poor wording

And I agree, it is an expansion. As I recall Rome's warning was mostly directed at Germany. Barron's warning is more toward Synodality in general, and toward Synodality becoming a permanent fixture in determining Church governance and doctrines

I urge you to read the article. I know you will likely not agree, but I think his concerns and warnings are valid.
