Just heard this and came to post. Hurts for sure. And surprising to me given the level of shape he kept himself in at his age.

He had a great run and touched a lot of lives. He will be missed, but left so much music behind we can enjoy his work for years.

Been nice hearing Dead tunes going into the NFL ad breaks today (as usual). But Weir even got a personal shoutout during the break a moment ago since the Niners are playing.

I rememebered last night that the only time I've been to the Ryman was to see Bob Weir and the Wolf Brothers because they were playing after the Aggies in the SEC basketball tournament when we went on that great run and lost to that should have been felon Brandon Miller and Alabama in the Championship game.
