I've always assumed in a zombie apocalypse, I'd be the first. As in Patient Zero. Someone has to be that guy. Knowing my luck, a dirty pigeon and a bat will sechs each other up in a bird bath, create a zombie virus and then I will land face first in it trying to pioneer my two story parachute.

I plan to land a helicopter on the roof of a shopping mall. I'll clear the mall of unwanteds, block the entrances with trucks, and live off of the spoils of the mall. I'll make the upper office into a two bedroom apartment, and wall off the bottom stairwell (just in case any unwanteds ever make it back in).

The original unreleased ending was much darker with Peter shooting himself, and Francine committing suicide by decapitating herself with the helicopter's spinning tail rotor. The final credits would have played over the rotor blades slowly running out of gas and coming to a stop, driving home the point that they would have eventually run out of fuel and died anyway.

I'm kinda leaning towards the SEAN of the Dead strategy. Barricade the bar that best fits the best stocked/best defensible checklist.

Pretty sure 99% of malls at this point are 3 nail parlors, a Lids, and an escape room. But you can get high off the fumes, so you'll have that going for you.
