When did it become a thing for idiots walking alongside the cart?

You are taking up the entire aisle.

Does this bug anyone else?

And when you walk away from your cart set it to one side of the aisle, not the middle.

That's why the ****ing handle is on the back, not the side.

If you have ever worked in a grocery store, you have a tendency to pull the cart walking alongside it rather than push it. It is easier to pull a heavy load than push one.

I know because I find myself fall into it without thinking. But I try to be aware of blocking the paths of others too.

What are your thoughts on rude kids with those huge bins filling online orders? And wearing earbuds pretending to not see you

They are just doing that few a few months so they can add "personal shopper" to their resume

It makes the carts easier to steer, so I can understand why smaller people or old people might want to do that. They just need to be aware to not block others while doing it.

The one advantage of this is that there's basically an employee on every aisle that is knowledgeable about the store layout. Always get a quick correct response when I ask "where is xx?"

I loathe Costco for this exact reason. I often envision going full demolition derby.

I cant believe there are still people who dont do curbside. Its been one of the biggest life improvements of the last 5 years. Do yall use electricity? Are you posting on texags by candlelight like the pioneers did?

I shop once a week, and I'm usually not at the store more than 30 minutes. Not really worth paying extra to have someone else do.

I don't like strangers picking out my fruits and veggies! Oh, this meat is about to expire? Lets give them this instead of the fresher meat! No thanks!

I shop on Sundays, but I won't be going in the morning. I'll wait for the heat of the day this weekend. Going to be a chilly Sunday morning in Mid-Missouri. Better remember to drip the pipes overnight!

I worked at a grocery store for 4 years and push it like a normal person.

I don't really like the curbside because I think it's fun to peruse around and randomly get stuff. I enjoy walking around the store, usually with an earbud and listening to something funny. People see me laughing to myself and think I'm crazy but in reality... okay they are probably right but still.

Impulse buys are my one true joy in life. Take that away and I'm doing my best Charles Whitman impersonation.

We found ordering on line with its small delivery cost saves a lot of time and traffic and the masses.

I drive right by an HEB and two Walmarts twice every day on my commute, so it doesn't take much effort or additional time to stop a few minutes for things. It takes me longer to set up an online order than to just pop in, grab a cart, and shop, because I often know what I generally need but not exactly what I want until I am in there and can see all the choices at one glance. I also hit the clearance aisle and impulse buy a thing or two.

It's fun shopping at HEB. I get there just after they open. Just me and a handful of others shopping. Got my list in my notes. In and out in 20 minutes with all the delicious food I want.

I too worked as a sacker some 35 years ago. The proper etiquette is to push the cart inside the store and pull it once outside on the pavement. Pulling a loaded grocery cart on pavement gives you much better leverage on the top heavy cart. Whenever on polished concrete or vinyl flooring inside the store, no such leverage is required.

Curbside is great for the fat people that just eat processed *****

And there is a definitely a correlation between curbside shoppers, their height/weight proportions, and the crap food they buy that ties it all together.
