why does every other SEC school have indoor facilities? Do they have more revenue? Better donors? It's a no to both. Something doesn't add up.
Texas' indoor courts are about a 30 minute drive from campus. Their outdoor courts are right next to baseball and softball and across the highway from football, soccer, track, and basketball. Sort of like our setup with everything close to each other. But the indoor courts that bear the Texas school name are far away. It would literally be like building our indoor courts at a club in Navasota (same drive time). And the school tennis teams are certainly not the main tenants who pay for and use those indoor courts. The idea is that they pay for themselves with a membership to what is basically a pay to join country club with golf, tennis, swimming, and social activities.
That is the arrangement that I've been hoping to convince people would be feasible here. In the post-House (and NIL) era, that is about all that has a chance. The other option is someone just wants to donate one.
